In addition to German and English lessons, we also offer CREW Learning Nuggets. These are short workshops that can easily be done during a break or after work.

Little by little

The CREW Learning Nuggets allow you to expand your professional and personal horizons. You can choose from little learning nuggets on various current topics.

For instance, during the 2024/2025 winter season, you can choose from the following courses: Communication and Rhetoric, Becoming a Patisserie Chocolate Expert, First Aid Course, Fascinating Facts about Wine, Cheese and Gin for Aspiring Baristas.

The CREW Learning Nuggets are all created by “local heroes“. If you have expert knowledge in a certain field, why not share your expertise with the CREW?

winter 2024/25

avalanche course (free of charge)

On Saturday, 8 February 2025 at 6:30 pm, a free avalanche course for all CREW members will take place in the fire station in Mathon.

Course content:

•   Legal matters in connection with avalanches
•   Mobile phone direction finding and localisation during search operations
•   Alternative avalanche beacon localisation
•   Practical avalanche exercise

Important: Dress warmly and, if you have one, bring a beep device and a headlamp.

Registration is not necessary - just come along.

cocktail trends for everyone

Whether you want to celebrate in your favourite bar or spend a cosy evening at home with your best friend, we come across cocktails time and time again in a wide variety of versions. Whether with or without alcohol, the diverse mixtures and limitless preparation options will put a smile on everyone's face. In this course, you can expect to taste and familiarise yourself with various spirits, mix and stir selected cocktails and gain initial insights into flair bartending to amaze your guests.

German for beginners in everyday and working life (a1.1/a1.2)

In this German course, non-German-speaking employees have the opportunity to learn the most important vocabulary of the German language in a fun and creative way. Topics are covered that are relevant in the world of work, but also in everyday life. At the end of the course, employees will be able to name objects, describe simple actions, give information and understand instructions and some expressions in dialect.

•   Dates: Every Tuesday, 14.01.2025 - 01.04.2025 (12 times)
•   Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

In this advanced course, you have the opportunity to consolidate your existing vocabulary in German in a fun and creative way. The topics covered relate to the world of work or everyday topics that can be helpful when communicating with friends and colleagues. By the end of the course, you will be able to hold conversations in German, give information and understand instructions.

•   Time: 4:15 pm - 5:45 pm

In this advanced course you have the opportunity to deepen and expand your existing knowledge of German. The topics covered will help you to cope better with working life and everyday life in Paznaun. The focus is on everyday situations and topics of conversation that can be useful when communicating with friends, colleagues and in various professional contexts. The learning methods are interactive and practice-orientated, which means you not only learn to understand the German language, but also to actively use it.

soap workshop

Create a soap from everyday ingredients from the kitchen and nature? No problem. In this course, you will be introduced step by step to the world of soaps, with sustainability being the guiding principle. The workshop includes simple and straightforward recipes.

This course is all about the art of tea blending and tea preparation. You will learn how to create individual tea blends from various herbs, flowers and spices - tailored to your taste and needs. Using local and high-quality ingredients, unique teas are created that invite you to enjoy and relax.
