Are you in the mood for an individual winter or snowshoe hike? The ski instructors and mountain guides of the Paznaun valley offer guided snowshoe hikes throughout the winter season. They know the best scenic spots and can plan a special route for you.
If you’re new to the sport, it’s a good idea to join a guided tour of the Experience Programme. Together with experienced guides and fellow winter sports enthusiasts, you will explore the most stunning spots of the Alpine Paznaun valley.
You would like to try snowshoeing, but don’t have the necessary equipment? No problem! Renting snowshoes on site is easy!
Facts about winter hiking and snowshoeing
If you’re staying in Ischgl, we recommend the stunning winter hiking trail in the Mutta region and the panoramic tour in the Verwall region.
The majority of mountain lodges located outside the ski resort are closed during winter. That’s why it’s a good idea to bring your own snacks to fuel up along the way. Alternatively, you can drop by one of the many restaurants down in the valley, as many winter hiking trails are located near a village.
To come perfectly prepared for your hike, we recommend checking the current avalanche warning level before your trip. Plus, pay attention to noticeboards along the way and respect any closed-off areas.

The valley hiking trail and a local bus route connect the five fractions of Samnaun. To get back to the ski resort from Samnaun Ravaisch, you can hop on the cable car.
Bus number 260 runs between the villages in the valley. During the winter season, you can also use the local ski bus to get around the Paznaun valley.
