Mountain Cart Action in See
The starting point of your Alpine adventure is the mountain station of Zeinisbahn cable car, where you can rent one of our sturdy Carts. There, you’ll receive a brief introduction to handling the mountain Carts as well as a helmet – because your safety is important to us. And then you‘re ready to go: Expect a long, action-packed descent down a three-and-a-half kilometre-long forest trail – and lots of fun!
Are you on your way to Ascherhütte lodge and feeling spontaneous? Perfect! Take the opportunity to incorporate a thrilling mountain cart ride into your hiking experience! After an exciting ride, you can return your vehicle at the valley station of Zeinisbahn cable car.
Mountain carting in a nutshell
- Points of sale: Medrigjochbahn valley station and ticket shop at the Medrigjochbahn mountain station
- Starting point: Zeinisbahn mountain station (please note the different operating times of the Zeinisbahn!)
- Finish point: Zeinisbahn valley station
- Route length: 3.5 km
- Equipment: Helmet compulsory --> Helmet is provided (sunglasses recommended) - Please note the information for families and children as well as the general safety instructions for mountain carts (Medrig Cart).
- Price without Silvretta Card Premium or annual mountain railway passes: 18 euros (incl. 1x ride on the Zeinisbahn, excl. ascent on the Medrigjochbahn)
- Price with Silvretta Card Premium or annual mountain railway passes: 13.50 euros (includes the 25% discount for SCP holders) as well as reductions for multiple rides.

Riding the mountain cart under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited without exception! Animals are not permitted!
Expect oncoming traffic, pedestrians, cyclists or cattle on the entire route!
- Children under the age of 14 are only permitted to use the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) and the mountain cart track in the presence of an adult supervisor.
- Children under the age of 12 and under 150 cm tall are not permitted to drive a mountain cart (Medrig Cart) on their own. They may only be used together with an adult supervisor on the mountain cart (medrig cart).
- Children under the age of 4 are not permitted to use or share the use of the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) or the cart track!
- Helmets are compulsory on the entire cart track and sturdy closed shoes must be worn. Clothing suitable for the outdoors must also be worn. Helmets are issued free of charge for the Medrig Cart ride directly at the issue point at the start (Zeinisbahn mountain station).
- Goggles for the wind or dust are recommended.
- Each user will receive instruction from the Medrig Cart staff directly at the issue point.
- Observe the helmet requirement!
- Only ride with a valid ticket!
- Carry out a brake test before setting off. Always brake with both brake levers at the same time! The left brake lever brakes the left rear wheel, the right brake lever brakes the right rear wheel.
- Place your feet on the footrests during the entire journey!
- Pay attention to the signs! Racing, riding in a group, reversing and tailgating are prohibited without exception!
- Only ride at a moderate speed! Reduce speed considerably before bends. Always lean your upper body towards the inside of the bend.
- Keep your distance! Adapt your riding style and speed to your own ability! Make yourself noticed by ringing the bell!
- Riding the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) is at your own risk! Do not leave the marked route!
- Expect oncoming traffic, pedestrians, cyclists or cattle on the entire route!
- Ride through pasture fences at walking pace.
- The mountain cart (medrig cart) can be pulled easily and comfortably by the footrests or the loops on the footrests.
- Always park the mountain cart (medrig cart) so that it cannot roll away.
- Return the mountain cart (medrig cart) to the designated garage and the helmets to the ticket office.
