The gourmet festival in Ischgl in Paznaun
Dive into the heart of Paznaun at the Paznauner Market Day, a festival organised by the Musikkapelle Ischgl, celebrating the regional treasures of the valley. At the centre of attention is the famous Paznauner Alpine Cheese, made from pure Paznaun milk by cows that feast on only the finest grass. Discover the craftsmanship of 10 mountain pastures and 3 valley dairies as they bring their unique cheese directly to Ischgl. But there’s more to savour: the festival ground offers a plethora of delicacies besides delicious dairy products, including bread, bacon, honey, spirits, liqueurs, and more. Local exhibitors enhance the culinary festival with a range of traditional and modern crafts, from pine cushions to wooden jewellery and felt bags.
An highlight is the large marquee of the Musikkapelle Ischgl, where food and drink as well as musical entertainment by numerous guest bands will ensure a great atmosphere.
The festival programme
Dive into the summer highlight that offers much more than just culinary delights. Traditionally, the market day begins with a festive parade of brass bands, followed by the official opening by distinguished guests. Afterwards, a colourful programme awaits you: participate in the election of the Cheese Queen 2024, enjoy a diverse children's animation programme with the Experience Club Paznaun and the Ischgl Mountain Rescue climbing tower, and be captivated by a cooking show with the award-winning chef Martin Sieberer. Around and inside the large festival tent, the Musikkapelle Ischgl provides culinary and musical highlights throughout the day – a true family experience!
