THE WEATHER TODAY
A high pressure system centered over the North Sea, which has extended as far as the Alps, is taking command of the weather. The weather will be very sunny and calm from Wednesday to Friday. The air dries out considerably and clouds are the exception. This will be accompanied by spring-like warm air, meaning that temperatures could rise significantly at all altitudes. By the coming weekend, however, the high pressure system and its center will once again withdraw to northwestern Europe, so that the eastern Alps will once again be exposed to a more northerly flow on its eastern flank. However, it has not yet been completely decided how far the high will actually move away from us. At the moment, however, everything points to more changeable weather with cold late winter temperatures over the course of the weekend.
